Tryouts

Although affiliated with Paly, our program draws from a broad zoning area across the southern San Francisco Peninsula, including both Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.

Eligible Schools: Palo Alto, Gunn, Carlmont, Hillsdale, Menlo-Atherton, Sequoia, Woodside, Woodside Priory, Half Moon Bay, Mills, Design Tech, Junipero Serra, Serra, Khan Lab, and Nueva Upper School.

Tryouts are held annually from late August to early September at Sharks Ice San Jose.

The season begins in late September and runs through January, with playoffs in February.

Teams play 14 regular season games, all hosted at Sharks Ice San Jose.

Tryout registration is required prior to participation. A registration link, required forms, and payment details will be shared on this page as tryouts approach. All players must complete registration and submit any necessary waivers before stepping on the ice.

Tryout fees vary from year to year depending on player turnout and the amount of ice time required for proper evaluation. All fees will be communicated during the registration process.
